About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading international advocacy organization working to address global poverty and drive meaningful impact across continents. Our talent team is seeking a Director of PR & Communications for the EMEA region to join their London-based team in a fully remote capacity.

This senior role will lead public relations strategy and execution across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, working with tier-1 media outlets and managing agency relationships in key markets including the UK, France, Germany, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, and UAE.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with key journalists at top-tier outlets across entertainment, news, policy, and business verticals in EMEA markets
  • Develop and execute PR strategies for large-scale campaigns, events, and initiatives in coordination with global teams
  • Craft innovative media pitches that elevate the organization's campaigns, events, and executive spokespeople to new audiences
  • Oversee day-to-day management of external PR agencies across Africa and the Middle East
  • Lead media strategy for G7 and G20 engagement and drive PR planning for major regional initiatives
  • Draft and edit press materials including releases, statements, interview briefs, and backgrounders
  • Coordinate logistics for press conferences, media briefings, and live events
  • Identify and secure thought leadership opportunities for senior executives at conferences, summits, and podcasts
  • Manage cross-departmental collaboration across time zones with colleagues in marketing, partnerships, and policy teams

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing
  • 5-8 years of experience running global PR campaigns in entertainment, media, or politics
  • Robust contact list of journalists at tier-1 outlets across EMEA, particularly in entertainment, hard news, and political media
  • Strong understanding of the global news landscape and social-first digital media
  • Excellent writing skills with ability to communicate complex topics clearly and develop varied high-level materials
  • Experience executing press events and liaising confidently with media and high-profile individuals
  • Sharp news sense and analytical skills with ability to anticipate and mitigate issues
  • Proven ability to work across time zones, languages, and cultures
  • Familiarity with tools such as Muck Rack, Meltwater, and PR Newswire
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Additional language skills highly desirable
  • Authorization to work in the UK or EU required
