Position Summary

The Service Desk Tech Analyst I role offers an excellent entry point into IT support for someone eager to help others solve technology challenges. You'll work in a collaborative environment providing frontline assistance to a diverse user base, gaining hands-on experience with a variety of hardware platforms, operating systems, and enterprise software. This full-time position is based at UT MAIN CAMPUS, where you'll be part of a dedicated team supporting thousands of students, faculty, and staff.

Core Duties

  • Respond promptly to user technology requests through multiple support channels
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware and software issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop systems
  • Document all support interactions and maintain accurate ticket records
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate technical teams
  • Follow established IT procedures and security protocols
  • Provide clear, user-friendly explanations of technical concepts to non-technical users

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or IT certification preferred
  • Foundational knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware components and peripherals
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with capability for methodical problem-solving
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to learn new systems and expand technical knowledge continuously
