Our client works at the intersection of enterprise platforms and generative AI, partnering with leading AI technology providers to deliver production-ready solutions for global organizations. As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you'll bridge the gap between emerging AI capabilities and real-world business needs—working directly with enterprise clients to design, build, and operationalize AI-powered workflows and intelligent automation solutions.

This role combines full-stack engineering, enterprise integration, and hands-on implementation of large language model applications, including agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation systems, and AI-powered automations within complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operationalize AI-powered workflows, assistants, and automations within client enterprise platform environments and broader technology ecosystems
• Translate customer business requirements and operational processes into technical architectures and production-ready AI solutions
• Build enterprise AI applications using leading LLM platforms, applying prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool use, and multi-step orchestration patterns
• Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions that ground AI responses in authorized enterprise data sources
• Develop secure integrations between enterprise platforms, APIs, data systems, and AI services
• Create demos, prototypes, and proof-of-concept implementations to validate AI-driven workflows and customer use cases
• Implement practical AI quality controls including evaluation frameworks, test cases, human-in-the-loop workflows, and responsible AI safeguards
• Build supporting components such as microservices, automation logic, integration services, and lightweight user interfaces
• Contribute reusable implementation patterns, solution templates, and deployment assets to accelerate future delivery
• Troubleshoot technical issues across AI workflows, integrations, retrieval pipelines, and automation processes
• Partner with business consultants, product teams, and customer stakeholders throughout discovery, solution design, implementation, and continuous improvement
• Monitor and optimize deployed solutions based on user feedback, performance data, and evolving business needs

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, enterprise platforms, workflow automation, or related technical delivery roles
• Strong engineering foundation with hands-on experience in full-stack development, scripting, APIs, microservices, or cloud-native applications
• Experience building, deploying, or supporting AI/LLM-powered applications, conversational experiences, RAG systems, or agentic workflows
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar programming languages
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with modern LLM concepts including prompt engineering, context windows, embeddings, vector search, tool use, structured outputs, and model evaluation
• Understanding of responsible AI practices including hallucination mitigation, data security, access controls, and human oversight patterns
• Experience in customer-facing engineering, consulting, technical implementation, or solutions architecture roles
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders
• Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and travel approximately 25%

Strongly Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with Claude models, the Anthropic API, or similar advanced LLM platforms
• Experience with enterprise workflow platform development, configuration, or implementation (ServiceNow strongly preferred)
• Familiarity with platform scripting, APIs, integration tools, and workflow automation patterns
• Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or comparable tools
• Experience with vector databases, document ingestion, chunking strategies, and knowledge-grounding patterns
• Familiarity with AI observability, evaluation frameworks, prompt management, and cost optimization
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, Git, and secure cloud deployment practices
