About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential mechanical engineering organization in the premium segment. This internationally active mid-market manufacturer operates its own production facilities and maintains an established global distribution network. The majority shareholder is an industry-focused investor, and the business is financially solid with a stable leadership team in place.

We are conducting an exclusive search for a Chief Executive Officer to shape the next phase of growth and operational excellence. This role is based in Bielefeld and offers significant scope to lead strategic development while working closely with experienced governance partners.

Responsibilities

• Full accountability for P&L and cash flow management across the organization
• Drive strategic evolution of the business model, sales operations, and service offerings
• Expand international market presence and unlock new growth opportunities
• Establish a professional commercial framework for service and spare parts business
• Align product management and R&D with customer needs, ensuring clear resource prioritization
• Develop the leadership team and embed a data-driven culture of continuous improvement
• Make key decisions regarding production and value-creation strategy
• Collaborate closely with the advisory board and shareholder to shape long-term value creation

What We're Looking For

• Completed business administration degree combined with strong technical understanding
• Career progression within mechanical engineering, shaped by market, product, and sales responsibility
• Proven experience as CEO or in comparable overall leadership within a mid-market industrial company
• Expertise in building and managing international sales and service organizations
• Demonstrated ability to make clear decisions on resource allocation with entrepreneurial mindset
• Familiarity with the pace and working style of investor-backed organizations
• Tested change management capability, decisive and pragmatic in execution
• Fluent in German and English
