Outbound Forklift

Sysco is hiring an Outbound Forklift Operator to join our warehouse and distribution operations across 2 Locations. This is a full-time position supporting fast-paced logistics and food service distribution.

What This Role Involves

As an Outbound Forklift Operator at Sysco, you'll be essential to our order fulfillment process. Working in our warehouse environment, you'll operate forklifts and material-handling equipment to move, load, and organize food products and supplies for shipment to customers. This role demands attention to safety, accuracy, and efficiency as you handle high-volume outbound orders daily. You'll collaborate with warehouse teammates to ensure products are properly staged, loaded onto trucks, and documented for delivery.

Core Duties

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move products from storage to staging and loading areas
• Load and unload trucks according to delivery manifests and weight requirements
• Inspect equipment before and after each shift; perform basic maintenance and report malfunctions
• Verify product counts, condition, and placement to meet quality and safety standards
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse workspace and follow all safety protocols
• Stack pallets securely to maximize truck space without compromising load stability
• Respond to changing priorities and shift requirements in a fast-moving warehouse

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred)
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one; equivalent hands-on experience acceptable
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
• Strong focus on safety and willingness to follow warehouse protocols
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Comfortable working in a refrigerated warehouse environment
• Basic communication and teamwork skills; ability to take direction
