Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition – Stuttgart, Germany

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing AI technology company seeking a Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition to join their distributed team. This is a fully remote position based in Stuttgart, Germany.

Our client operates at the intersection of artificial intelligence and audio technology, building products used by millions globally. Their AI team is responsible for petabyte-scale data operations that power next-generation models, combining infrastructure engineering with research to deliver high-quality datasets efficiently and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities

• Identify and integrate new sources of audio data into the existing ingestion pipeline
• Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for data ingestion, working with platforms like GCP and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Collaborate with data scientists to optimize the cost, throughput, and quality of data collection, enabling richer datasets at larger scale and lower cost
• Work with AI team members and leadership to develop the dataset roadmap supporting next-generation consumer and enterprise products
• Build and maintain large-scale data processing workflows to support model training operations

What We're Looking For

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency with bash and Python scripting in Linux environments
• Expertise in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
• Professional experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP experience is a plus)
• Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is highly valued
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Self-directed work style suited to a fully distributed, asynchronous team environment
