Our client operates a successful consumer technology platform serving millions of users globally. Their Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining critical backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, and external APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public-facing APIs and internal services for payment, subscription, authentication, and consumption tracking
• Oversee the backend API landscape, continuously enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration requirements for enterprise clients
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience
• Ensure all services meet business requirements and scalability demands

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in backend development with TypeScript and Node.js (required)
• Direct hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact
• Efficiency in both ideation and implementation phases
• Preferred: Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
• Preferred: Proficiency in deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a distributed, asynchronous environment
