We are representing a confidential engineering consultancy seeking a Transmission Line Engineer 2 to join their Power Delivery team. This role can be performed remotely or in a hybrid capacity, offering excellent work-life balance and scheduling flexibility. Responsibilities

As the Engineering Team Lead for transmission line projects, you will provide technical leadership and ensure successful project delivery while maintaining scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Preparing specification packages, structural drawings, and fabrication drawings for transmission line projects
• Designing and analyzing transmission lines using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE (experience with PLS-TOWER and FAD Tools is a bonus)
• Performing foundation design and analysis
• Analyzing existing and proposed structures for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications
• Conducting electrical clearance checks and calculations
• Directly managing multiple projects with no limit to individual project value
• Implementing effective engineering methods and providing technical guidance to engineers and designers
• Mentoring junior staff by reviewing work products and explaining professional responsibilities
• Attending project meetings and presenting engineering findings to technical and non-technical audiences

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (Civil or Electrical engineering preferred)
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 6+ years of experience in transmission line design
• Demonstrated experience with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE software
• Comprehensive knowledge of transmission line design concepts and principles
• Proven track record building and maintaining successful client relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
• Attention to detail and team-focused mindset
• Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with PLS-TOWER and FAD Tools
• Master's degree in engineering
