(Senior) Financial Accountant Real Estate (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential real estate investment organization with operations in Germany. They are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their Leipzig office and take ownership of financial reporting across their property portfolio and corporate entities.

This is a hands-on accounting role where you'll manage the complete financial accounting cycle, prepare statutory reports under German and Luxembourg standards, and serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage day-to-day financial accounting for property entities and holding structures
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code) and Luxembourg GAAP
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with applicable deadlines
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external auditors
• Compile annual tax documentation packages for external tax advisors
• Support continuous improvement of financial processes and accounting systems
• Contribute to special projects within the finance department, bringing technical expertise and innovative solutions

What We're Looking For

• University degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, OR completed commercial apprenticeship with 3+ years of professional accounting experience
• Additional qualification as a chartered accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) is a strong advantage
• Deep technical knowledge of standard accounting software, ideally DATEV or Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and maintaining accuracy
• Strong numerical aptitude with the ability to quickly understand complex financial relationships
• Conscientious, structured, and results-oriented work style
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills
• Fluency in German (C2 level) and English (B2 level), both written and spoken
