Controller*in Senior / Business Analyst*in (m/w/d) in Bonn

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential non-profit organization in Bonn seeking a Senior Controller / Business Analyst to shape the future of financial controlling through modern analytics, business intelligence, predictive analytics, and AI solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Act as a strategic partner to business units, advising on budgets, ongoing expenditures, and forecasts while identifying critical financial developments and challenges
• Collaborate with departments to evaluate key performance indicators, conduct in-depth analyses, and recommend appropriate action measures
• Support teams in creating cost-benefit analyses and business cases, critically evaluating objectives and assumptions from a business perspective
• Perform ad-hoc analyses to assess current business developments and anomalies, preparing findings for diverse stakeholders
• Develop new reports and dashboards to ensure transparent monitoring of relevant developments, while continuously reviewing and documenting existing KPIs and driving automation
• Create analysis tools including self-service solutions, dashboards, and data models, strategically deploying AI technologies to enable user-friendly data work
• Support annual budget preparation and associated coordination and approval processes
• Serve as the central point of contact for financial accounting colleagues
• Monitor current trends in data analysis, business intelligence, predictive analytics, and AI to drive continuous evolution of controlling practices

What We're Looking For

• Completed university degree or comparable qualification
• Multiple years of relevant professional experience in controlling, business analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex analysis, reporting, and management solutions
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and business acumen with high methodological and problem-solving competence
• Independent, structured working style with enthusiasm for taking responsibility and advising departments
• Confident presence, excellent communication skills, and ability to convince diverse stakeholders
• Experience working with KPIs, dashboards, business cases, and modern analysis and BI tools
• Proactive engagement with current developments and trends in data analysis, business intelligence, and AI
• German language proficiency required for this Bonn-based position
