Senior Product Manager – Platform

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech platform in a search for a Senior Product Manager - Platform. This is a fully remote role open to candidates across the United States.

Our client operates a high-growth payments technology company serving thousands of organizations. They maintain a remote-first, documentation-heavy culture with minimal meetings, allowing substantial focus time for deep work.

You'll join a product management organization of approximately six PMs and report directly to the Head of Product. In this role, you'll own the platform team's roadmap end-to-end, covering infrastructure, security, internal tooling, AI infrastructure, data compliance, and technical upgrades that enable every other team to ship effectively.

Responsibilities

• Own product management for the Platform team, including security issues, AI infrastructure, compliance, and technical upgrade initiatives
• Manage the team's product roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, resolving ambiguity and driving prioritization decisions
• Frame complex technical problems clearly, helping engineers and designers understand what we're solving and why
• Conduct user research, market analysis, and competitive intelligence to support evidence-based product decisions
• Set requirements and collaborate with designers and engineers to devise appropriate solutions to technical challenges
• Drive asynchronous collaboration through documentation rather than meetings
• Influence and persuade stakeholders with a collaborative approach when priorities conflict
• Measure and communicate the impact of shipped work to the team and leadership

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of product management experience specifically on platform teams (infrastructure, security, search, data, or similar technical domains)
• 5+ years of professional software engineering or engineering management experience
• Exceptional technical fluency and comfort discussing architecture, tradeoffs, implementation details, and complex technical problems with engineers
• Strong product intuition with the ability to identify optimal solutions to ambiguous problems
• Proven ability to translate long-term strategy and large feature backlogs into actionable roadmaps
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills suited to a documentation-first culture
• Comfort making decisions with incomplete information and driving work forward independently
• Genuine empathy for users and teammates, with a drive to deeply understand their challenges
