Global Communications Lead

We are representing a confidential AI technology company that is building the next generation of intelligent productivity applications. Our client is at an exciting inflection point—preparing to introduce their product to a global audience—and they need a seasoned communications professional to lead that effort.

As their Global Communications Lead, you will craft the external narrative, build relationships with tier-one media, and work directly with the founding team to ensure every public moment reflects the company's ambition and quality. This is a hands-on role based in China, ideal for someone who has shaped how technology products are perceived by the world.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's global communications strategy from the ground up
• Build and maintain relationships with technology, business, and mainstream media outlets worldwide
• Identify compelling story angles and proactively secure high-quality press coverage
• Write and edit press releases, announcements, company updates, and executive communications
• Shape company messaging, positioning, and product narratives for diverse audiences
• Prepare founders and executives for media interviews, conference appearances, and public speaking engagements
• Develop comprehensive communication plans around product launches, partnerships, and major milestones
• Monitor media coverage and identify opportunities to strengthen brand perception
• Collaborate with product, talent acquisition, and leadership teams to ensure consistent external messaging
• Support crisis communications and reputation management as needed

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in PR, corporate communications, or media relations within technology companies
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to explain complex technical products in accessible language
• Established relationships with technology and business journalists at major publications
• Track record managing communications for product launches or major company announcements
• Excellent editorial judgment and ability to develop compelling, differentiated narratives
• Comfort working directly with founders and C-level executives
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with minimal direction
• Strong attention to detail and consistently high standards for quality output
• Experience working in or communicating about AI, consumer technology, or productivity software is valuable
