Law Enforcement Officer

Position Summary

As a Law Enforcement Officer with RB in Kansas City, MO, you will be responsible for maintaining public safety, preventing crime, and responding to emergency and non-emergency situations throughout your assigned area. This full-time role is essential to our mission of protecting the community and upholding the law with integrity and professionalism. You will perform a variety of law enforcement duties, from patrol work to investigations, and serve as a trusted resource for residents and business owners in Kansas City.

Your Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot and in vehicles to prevent and detect criminal activity
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service in Kansas City, MO
• Conduct preliminary investigations at crime scenes and document findings in detailed reports
• Enforce state and local laws consistently and fairly with all individuals
• Make lawful arrests and ensure suspects are processed according to department procedures
• Interact professionally with diverse community members and provide customer service
• Maintain evidence integrity and testify in court as needed
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and coordinate with fellow officers during operations

What You Bring

• Current Law Enforcement Officer certification or qualification to obtain it
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass comprehensive background investigation, medical exam, and psychological screening
• Physical capability to perform strenuous law enforcement duties in all weather conditions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Problem-solving ability and sound judgment in complex situations
• Commitment to community engagement and professional law enforcement standards
• Availability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
