What This Role Involves

As a Systems Engineer Intern at Radiancetech, you'll gain practical experience across the complete systems engineering lifecycle within a mission-driven defense environment. Based at Wright-Patt AFB, you'll participate in requirements analysis, design development, testing coordination, and system integration activities that keep cutting-edge defense systems operational and effective. Core Duties

  • Assist in developing, refining, and documenting system requirements and design specifications
  • Support system architecture reviews and participate in technical trade-off evaluations
  • Help coordinate testing activities, including test planning, execution, and results documentation
  • Maintain system requirements traceability matrices and configuration management records
  • Research emerging technologies and engineering tools applicable to systems development
  • Contribute to technical documentation, user manuals, and specification updates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex system integration problems

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of an accredited program in systems engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical field
  • Foundational understanding of systems engineering principles, processes, and best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in technical work and documentation
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance (required for on-site work at Wright-Patt AFB)
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard technical documentation software
