BDR Team Manager – German Market (Berlin)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential legal tech organization expanding their sales operation in Berlin. This is a frontline leadership role building and managing a Business Development Representative team focused on the German market. You'll own pipeline generation for the SMB segment, working closely with account executives and marketing to drive qualified opportunities at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of BDRs, conducting weekly 1:1s, call coaching, account strategy sessions, and performance management
• Own pipeline creation metrics including meetings held, SQLs, qualified pipeline value, coverage ratios, and conversion rates
• Build repeatable outbound systems: ICP refinement, messaging frameworks, multi-threading plays, account-based sequences across email, phone, and LinkedIn
• Drive operational excellence through pipeline forecasting, CRM hygiene, dashboarding, and feedback loops with sales teams on lead quality
• Source, interview, and onboard BDR talent with structured ramp plans and clear productivity milestones
• Coordinate cross-functional alignment: translating market feedback into product and marketing inputs, managing campaign coordination, and ensuring clean BDR-to-AE handoffs
• Run experimentation programs: A/B testing on messaging, segments, channels, and sequences; scaling wins and eliminating inefficiencies
• Establish team culture centered on high standards, ownership, and data-driven decision-making

What We're Looking For

• Proven BDR leadership experience in B2B SaaS with consistent track record of hitting pipeline targets
• Strong competence in SMB outbound prospecting, multi-stakeholder mapping, and value-based messaging
• Demonstrated coaching ability: can diagnose performance issues (skill, motivation, territory, messaging) and implement structured improvement plans
• Data-driven approach with comfort in funnel metrics, conversion analysis, experimentation design, and performance management
• Fluent in German (native or C1+ level) and English
• Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce or HubSpot), sequencing tools, Sales Navigator, with strong hygiene and reporting discipline
