Software Engineer, Data Integration

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in a critical software engineering role focused on data integration. This position offers the opportunity to work on real-time clinical data systems that directly impact patient care outcomes.

You'll lead the technical workstream for integrating complex Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems with our client's platform, working directly with health system technical teams to deliver reliable, real-time data pipelines. This is a high-impact role where your engineering work enables clinical teams to make better decisions for their patients.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data integration interfaces and ingestion pipelines that feed the platform with real-time clinical data
• Partner directly with client technical teams to troubleshoot integration issues, often with tight timelines and full stakeholder attention
• Implement automated integration tests at the data layer and work through integration testing cycles with external teams
• Execute production deployments in collaboration with client technical teams, ensuring successful configuration promotion and go-live support
• Serve as the technical point of contact during go-live weeks, managing data integration issues and providing clear status updates to cross-functional partners
• Develop frameworks and tooling, including LLM-powered automation, to increase integration efficiency and velocity as the organization scales
• Collaborate with Implementation Leads, Clinical Integration specialists, and client teams to align technical workstreams with overall integration efforts

What We're Looking For

Required:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years building and deploying data pipelines to production, including integration with external APIs (Python preferred)
• Strong ability to investigate and resolve data correctness issues end-to-end, across services, storage, and external data sources
• Experience with cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) in production environments
• Experience writing automated integration tests for production systems
• Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and work effectively with Project/Product Managers

Preferred:

• Experience with health data, EHR system integration, and Health IT interoperability standards such as HL7v2 and FHIR
• Experience supporting production deployments through go-live, including on-call or support rotation experience
• Experience working with enterprise customers and managing their technical requirements
• Experience building internal tooling or automation, including leveraging LLMs to improve engineering velocity
