Business Systems Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Business Systems Engineer to join their Go-To-Market Engineering team. This is a remote position based in the USA.

In this role, you'll design, build, and operate the automation and AI systems that power critical business operations across sales, finance, and revenue workflows. You'll work at the intersection of business systems architecture and applied AI, partnering with cross-functional teams to eliminate manual processes and build intelligent, scalable automation infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered automations and agentic workflows across the GTM tech stack including Salesforce, NetSuite, Workato, and MuleSoft to eliminate manual effort and accelerate business operations
• Develop and deploy AI agents and LLM-based automations for tasks such as deal data enrichment, quote generation assistance, order validation, revenue recognition triggers, and exception handling
• Architect and implement integrations that allow AI agents to interact with business systems contextually and safely, enabling intelligent, event-driven actions across platforms
• Build and maintain integrations across Salesforce, NetSuite, iPaaS platforms, CPQ tools, and other GTM systems with clean architecture and low technical debt
• Own end-to-end integration patterns for critical business flows such as lead-to-opportunity, quote-to-cash, order-to-fulfillment, and revenue reporting pipelines
• Build internal tooling and low-code/no-code solutions using platforms such as Retool or Replit to extend business systems capabilities
• Write automation scripts and data transformation logic in Python, JavaScript, or Apex to bridge platform gaps
• Monitor the health and performance of automations and integrations; proactively identify degradation, data inconsistencies, or failure patterns before they impact operations
• Conduct root-cause analysis of integration failures and drive durable fixes with comprehensive documentation
• Partner with Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Customer Success stakeholders to translate business requirements into well-scoped technical solutions
• Serve as a subject matter expert for business systems automation and AI, educating stakeholders on capabilities and setting realistic delivery expectations

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 3–5+ years in business systems engineering, systems administration, or integration engineering
• Demonstrated experience building and shipping automations or integrations that delivered measurable business value in production
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce and at least one ERP platform (NetSuite strongly preferred)
• Experience deploying AI or LLM-powered automations in production business systems, or a clear trajectory toward this capability
• Experience working in high-velocity environments managing multiple concurrent priorities

Technical Skills:

• Salesforce configuration, automation (Flow, Process Builder), Apex, and data model design at admin or developer-level proficiency
• NetSuite workflows, SuiteScript, saved searches, and data model knowledge, particularly for order management, billing, and revenue recognition
• Hands-on experience with Workato, MuleSoft, Zapier, or comparable iPaaS platforms including multi-step flows, error handling, and observability
• Practical experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and agentic workflow design
• Proficiency with Python, JavaScript, or Apex for automation scripting and data transformation
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and OAuth-based integrations
• Knowledge of business systems data models and integration patterns (event-driven, batch, real-time)
