About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential identity and access management organization in their search for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join their UK&I team in London. Our client is at the forefront of secure identity solutions, working with organizations to implement cloud-based authentication and authorization platforms.

This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge identity technology, advising customers from developers to C-level executives on implementing robust security solutions. You'll partner closely with sales teams throughout the customer development lifecycle, using your technical expertise and business acumen to drive successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive technical discovery to understand customer requirements in the context of their business outcomes
• Manage technical sales progression from initial discovery through to technical win
• Build and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations for diverse audiences
• Take a hands-on approach to solution validation, including building custom demonstrations and supporting customer-led proof of concepts
• Work in close partnership with sales teams to progress opportunities toward successful conclusion
• Maintain broad and deep technical understanding of identity platform products and underlying technologies and protocols
• Engage proactively in local and regional sales and marketing events
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly, often on the fly at a whiteboard

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a pre-sales role as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer
• Experience with at least one standard identity protocol (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, or LDAP)
• Strong development background with proficiency in at least one backend stack (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, or Ruby) and a frontend stack (React, Angular, or Vue)
• Experience working with REST APIs and SDKs
• Understanding of core security concerns including password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, and XSRF
• Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate business value to technical and executive audiences
• Natural relationship builder with strong listening and time management skills
• Comfortable with travel and meeting customers in person
• Based in or willing to relocate to London, with expectation of 2 days per week either meeting customers or collaborating in the office

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with Identity & Access Management, Single Sign-On, and API-based solutions
• Understanding of AI agents and identity's role in continuous oversight
• Mobile development experience (iOS or Android)
• Experience with HTTP, HTML, and REST services using browser dev tools and HTTP clients
