About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential legal services organization that is transforming how small businesses and individuals access trademark and intellectual property protection. Our talent team is seeking a Staff Attorney to join their innovative practice, where technology meets legal expertise to serve clients more efficiently and affordably.
This is a remote position available to candidates licensed in Arizona or Washington DC, with an optional office presence in Houston for those in the area. You'll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to making legal services more accessible while maintaining the highest professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and review trademark searches, providing strategic advice and risk analyses to clients
- Advise clients on the registrability and strength of their marks
- File high-volume trademark applications with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office
- Respond to Office actions and manage trademark prosecution matters
- Assist senior trademark attorneys with their caseloads
- Communicate clearly with clients and non-attorneys, explaining legal concepts in accessible terms
- Support the firm's mission to expand access to legal services through efficient processes
What We're Looking For
- Active license to practice law in Arizona or Washington DC (required)
- 0-5 years of legal experience
- Experience in intellectual property law
- Strong passion for professional ethics and client service
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong computer skills and comfort with legal technology
- Proactive, self-motivated mindset with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Patent bar license or license-eligible status is a plus
