Lead Data Analyst – Recouvrement & crédit H/F

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing renewable energy provider in France seeking a Lead Data Analyst to drive their collections and credit strategy. This is a critical role where you'll transform data into actionable insights that improve recovery rates and manage credit risk across B2C operations.

You'll lead the analytical direction for collections operations, working closely with Finance and Operations teams to optimize processes and customer experience. This position includes direct management of two team members (a Data Analyst and a Data Scientist), making it ideal for someone ready to combine technical excellence with people leadership.

Responsibilities

• Drive the collections strategy by analyzing customer data and recovery operations, measuring impact and proposing strategic improvements
• Develop and maintain complex reporting and analytics related to debt, collections, and finance operations
• Propose and implement collection processes and prevention measures that maintain excellent customer experience (payment plan adjustments, debt scheduling)
• Optimize credit decisions through data analysis, including A/B testing of workflows and threshold decisions
• Model debt provisions in collaboration with Finance teams locally and at group level
• Present insights to executive leadership and facilitate cross-functional collaboration with data teams
• Directly manage two team members: provide daily support, develop technical skills, and guide career progression

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• Strong background in data analysis and management, such as Analytics Engineer or Data Analyst; ideally in finance or tech sectors
• Excellent skills with modern data stack: Python, SQL, DBT, Git—able to use these tools for complex analysis and strategic recommendations
• At least one previous experience in direct people management
• Rigorous and proactive approach to improving reporting and analysis
• Ability to own subjects and drive them forward independently
• Experience managing projects involving multiple internal teams
• Comfortable with data visualization tools
• Able to synthesize analysis clearly and concisely
• Fluent in French and English (minimum C1 level) for communication with international colleagues

Valuable additions:

• Knowledge of collections/credit subjects (particularly in the energy sector)
• Familiarity with data/cloud environments (GCP) and automation tools
• Understanding of Machine Learning and AI
