About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential biopharmaceutical organization seeking a Marketing Associate Director to lead patient and consumer marketing initiatives for a women's health product. This is a remote position based in the United States, reporting to senior marketing leadership within the Commercial organization. You'll play a central role in developing patient engagement strategies and driving omnichannel campaign execution for a marketed therapy addressing significant unmet needs in women's health.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop patient and consumer content and media strategies, ensuring integrated and timely execution of patient engagement initiatives across digital, social, email, search, websites, and point-of-care channels
  • Lead direct-to-patient/direct-to-consumer marketing strategies, creative development, and messaging aligned with patient insights, brand positioning, and healthcare provider strategies
  • Partner with omnichannel marketing teams to orchestrate touchpoints across the patient journey, establishing brand messaging, creative strategy, business requirements, and KPIs in collaboration with cross-functional and agency partners
  • Drive digital and social media marketing strategy, execute tactics, and build measurement and optimization plans within the consumer patient omnichannel ecosystem
  • Contribute to overall brand strategy and tactical planning with cross-functional stakeholders, applying deep understanding of patient insights, journey mapping, and segmentation strategies
  • Support adherence and persistence initiatives, including patient support programs, mobile tools, and educational resources
  • Manage PR initiatives, strategic partnerships, and earned media execution
  • Navigate internal review processes to gain approval for marketing materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry requirements
  • Collaborate with market research and analytics teams to generate patient insights, evaluate program effectiveness, and optimize messaging and channel mix
  • Champion patient perspective through field training and sales communications
  • Manage agency partners and budgets with strong financial acumen

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven track record of strategic and tactical marketing, including digital and social media planning and execution in regulated industries
  • Experience planning, piloting, and scaling new digital marketing initiatives
  • Expertise in insights-driven CRM and customer experience best practices to optimize omnichannel campaign performance
  • Demonstrated experience working with agencies to develop, implement, and execute marketing plans across multiple channels
  • Strong knowledge of marketing fundamentals including product positioning, brand planning, strategic communications, and product launches
  • Solid understanding of the US pharmaceutical and payer reimbursement landscape
  • Outstanding project management skills with ability to manage interdependencies and competing deadlines
  • Exceptional financial and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to travel domestically approximately 20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Women's health therapeutic area experience
  • Combined healthcare provider and consumer marketing experience
