Senior Customer Technical Program Manager – Data Center

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking a Senior Customer Technical Program Manager to lead complex infrastructure deployment programs in Japan. Our client is at the forefront of AI and data center innovation, working with strategic partners on sophisticated, large-scale technical initiatives.

This role requires a seasoned program leader who can balance planning rigor with execution speed while managing multidisciplinary teams and maintaining executive-level communication. You'll drive deployments from proof-of-concept through production acceptance, ensuring technical excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and execution plans for complex AI platform deployments, from initial evaluation through customer acceptance and production launch
• Scope projects, assemble cross-functional support teams, develop joint schedules with customers, and lead formal project kickoffs
• Support design-in efforts by providing technical collateral, leading engineering design reviews, and ensuring implementation of customer requirements
• Translate customer requirements into specific tasks and coordinate assignments across functional areas
• Collect, prioritize, track, and drive customer-reported issues to resolution while maintaining clear communication with both customers and internal executive teams
• Coordinate across engineering, operations, quality, product management, and sales teams to resolve technical and logistical challenges
• Organize and facilitate complex hardware and software engineering discussions between teams
• Deliver regular executive-level program status reports and escalate critical issues appropriately
• Build strong working relationships with customer development teams and apply creative problem-solving to address their challenges

What We're Looking For

• BS/MS in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
• 8+ years in high-tech electronics with focus on complex customer program/project management
• Proven track record managing significant data center programs, particularly with strategic customers running large-scale deployments
• Deep technical knowledge of data center technologies including servers, CPUs, memory, interconnect, networking, and storage
• Strong background in server development and data center qualification/deployment environments
• Exceptional leadership skills with ability to coordinate broad, diverse functional teams
• Fluency in both Japanese and English (required)
• Experience leading strategic technical projects with demonstrated data-driven decision-making
• Excellent executive communication and reporting capabilities
• PMP or Scrum Master certification is a plus
