Non-Linguistic QC (China / US Time Zone)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential localization organization that supports global life sciences and pharmaceutical clients. We are currently seeking experienced Non-Linguistic Quality Coordination specialists who can work flexible hours aligned with China or US time zones. This is a remote opportunity open to candidates anywhere.

As part of this role, you will ensure the quality and compliance of English-language content derived from multiple source languages, focusing on pharmacovigilance, regulatory, and clinical materials. You'll work independently, manage urgent turnarounds, and collaborate with a distributed team of linguistic professionals.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control reviews of translations into English for pharmaceutical and clinical content
• Utilize CAT tools (XTM preferred) and execute automated QA checks to validate accuracy and consistency
• Verify formatting, numerical data, dates, measurement units, terminology, and adherence to project instructions
• Support processing of non-editable and handwritten source materials; conduct formatting quality control after conversion
• Self-assign tasks and meet urgent delivery timelines, typically within 12–24 hours
• Manage high volumes distributed across multiple small files; document and report any discrepancies or issues
• Collaborate with translators, editors, and project managers; escalate risks and concerns promptly
• Follow corporate procedures, data security protocols, and standard operating procedures

What We're Looking For

• Mandatory hands-on experience with CAT tools such as XTM, Trados, MemoQ, Phrase, or similar platforms
• Proven experience with QA tools including Xbench, Verifika, or CAT-integrated quality assurance features
• Minimum 6 months of professional experience as a Language QA specialist within the localization industry
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 level or equivalent)
• Strong command of Microsoft Word, including Track Changes functionality
• Availability of 4–5 hours per day with flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as needed
• Ability to meet urgent turnaround times (12–24 hours) and efficiently manage multiple small files simultaneously
• Willingness to complete a QC assessment test and participate in staged onboarding
