About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential mobile gaming client based in Hamburg who is seeking an experienced Backend Developer with strong Golang expertise. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-moving technical team building scalable systems that serve millions of users. Our client values ownership, collaboration, and engineers who bring curiosity and creative problem-solving to complex challenges.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with three core office days per week, 30 vacation days annually, and the opportunity to work remotely for up to three weeks per year. You'll be based in Hamburg and work alongside experienced software engineers in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop robust, scalable, and efficient microservices using Golang
- Plan, develop, and maintain backend architectures leveraging AWS cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and ElasticSearch
- Ensure code quality through comprehensive unit and integration testing
- Collaborate within agile teams to analyze product requirements and implement solutions
- Optimize existing systems for enhanced performance and scalability
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions
What We're Looking For
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on software development experience with Golang
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, particularly ECS, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform and Terragrunt
- Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture patterns
- Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Fluency in English (German language skills are not required)
