Talent Lead

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology client in their search for a hands-on Talent Lead to build their hiring function from the ground up. This is a remote role where you'll own the entire recruiting lifecycle, working directly with leadership to scale their team across multiple functions and geographies.

In this role, you'll personally drive hiring across the organization while establishing scalable processes, tracking performance metrics, and building a strong candidate experience. You'll partner closely with the Head of People and hiring managers across go-to-market, operations, research, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the end-to-end hiring process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates
• Personally source and recruit talent across multiple business functions
• Build recruiting infrastructure from scratch: interview loops, scorecards, pipelines, and candidate tracking systems
• Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements, hiring priorities, and ideal candidate profiles
• Lead hiring initiatives across GTM, Operations, Research, Product, and Engineering teams
• Manage international recruitment efforts across the US, EU, UK, and additional markets
• Establish and maintain hiring metrics including pipeline conversion, time-to-hire, source performance, and offer acceptance rates
• Analyze recruiting data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
• Develop strong sourcing channels across different functions and geographic regions
• Create an exceptional candidate experience that reflects the organization's values
• Partner with leadership on talent planning and long-term hiring strategy

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience running recruiting at a startup, preferably in early-stage or high-growth environments
• Proven track record of personally hiring significant numbers of candidates and owning the full recruiting process
• Experience building hiring processes and recruiting operations from the ground up
• Background hiring across multiple functions including GTM, Operations, Research, Product, and Engineering
• International hiring experience across multiple countries and markets
• Comfort working directly with leadership and senior hiring managers
• Strong data orientation with experience tracking and analyzing recruiting metrics
• Excellent sourcing skills with ability to identify strong candidates beyond job postings
• Clear communication skills and ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers
• Ability to operate independently in environments where processes are still being established
• Fluent English (C1+ level) speaking and writing ability

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience hiring for AI, machine learning, and research roles
• Background building a recruiting function as first or early talent hire
• Experience hiring across US, EU, and UK markets
• Employer branding and talent pipeline development experience
• Familiarity using AI tools to enhance sourcing, screening, or recruiting operations
