Presales Systems Engineer – Southern Germany

About This Opportunity

We are representing a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, and our talent team is seeking an experienced Presales Systems Engineer to support customer engagements across Southern Germany. This is a home-office based role with regional travel, supporting enterprises and partners as they modernize their security infrastructure.

You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, designing and presenting cybersecurity architectures, running proof-of-concepts, and enabling sales teams and channel partners. This role offers significant autonomy, continuous technical training, and the opportunity to work with a comprehensive portfolio of networking and security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospective and existing customers, clearly articulating value and differentiation
• Design, plan, and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that validate security solutions against customer requirements
• Conduct technical enablement workshops—both online and on-site—for channel partners to deepen their product expertise
• Collaborate closely with sales teams to accelerate deal cycles through technical leadership and consultative selling
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable security architectures
• Provide competitive insights and technical best practices to sales and partner organizations
• Build long-term relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders based on trust and expertise
• Engage with the broader security community through customer visits, partner events, and industry conferences

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience in networking and/or IT security from a vendor, system integrator, service provider, consulting firm, or enterprise IT environment
• Technical expertise in LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN, SDN, and Next-Generation Firewalls
• Experience or strong interest in SASE, Zero Trust, cloud security, or data center architectures is a plus
• Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and business audiences
• Consultative mindset—you act as a trusted advisor, not just a technical resource
• Experience in presales is valuable, but technically strong engineers with customer-facing ambition are encouraged to apply
• Fluency in both German and English is required; approximately 80% of customer interactions will be in German, 20% in English
• Willingness to travel regularly within Southern Germany to meet with customers and partners
• Passion for continuous learning in a fast-evolving cybersecurity landscape
