Product Manager – Financial Services

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization operating in the platform economy space. Our client is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join their Financial Services product team in Bordeaux, France. This role offers the opportunity to shape the vision and execution of payment systems, embedded banking solutions, and financial products that serve marketplace operators and sellers globally.

Responsibilities

• Define short and long-term product roadmaps for financial services features in collaboration with the product team
• Identify new features and enhance existing capabilities to improve client performance and outcomes
• Build and maintain comprehensive market and product analyses to identify functional gaps and investment priorities
• Manage, prioritize, and optimize the functional backlog for development teams
• Collect customer feedback and anticipate future needs across payment, lending, and banking features
• Champion AI-native product practices using modern AI tools across discovery, specification writing, and delivery phases
• Collaborate with Engineering Managers and development squads during design workshops
• Partner with Legal and business teams to launch viable, compliant solutions
• Work alongside Data Science and Product Design teams to integrate intelligent features
• Coordinate with Marketing and Go-To-Market teams to drive product launches and create training materials
• Contribute to recruiting and coaching efforts to strengthen the product management culture

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 4–6+ years of experience in Product Management within a SaaS software company
• Proven track record working with financial products and processes including factoring/cash advances, billing and collection mechanisms, payment systems, lending platforms, and embedded banking integrations
• Hands-on familiarity with API design and integration ecosystems
• Full professional proficiency in both French and English

Essential Skills:

• Product roadmap ownership and backlog prioritization
• Financial product expertise across payments, lending, and embedded banking
• Data-driven decision-making capabilities
• Strong stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban)

Bonus:

• Experience in a marketplace environment

Technical Familiarity:

• Product management tools such as ProductBoard, Heap Analytics, Jira, Figma, Hotjar, Zendesk
• AI tools including Claude, Google Gemini, and workflow automation platforms
