Senior Project Manager, Medical Imaging

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential life sciences organization seeking a Senior Project Manager, Medical Imaging to join their team. This is a remote position based in the United States.

Our client supports the global biopharmaceutical industry in advancing clinical research and bringing innovative medical treatments to market. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead medium to high complexity imaging studies, oversee cross-functional delivery, and mentor project management talent while ensuring projects meet quality, timeline, and budget commitments.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of medium to high complexity medical imaging studies from initiation through close-out
• Provide day-to-day leadership across internal teams and external stakeholders, establishing delivery governance and managing risk proactively
• Own end-to-end financial stewardship including budget tracking, revenue recognition, and monthly forecasting in partnership with finance
• Maintain robust project plans and ensure regular, accurate communication to stakeholders at all levels
• Lead change control procedures and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale, and resource parameters
• Provide oversight and coordination for data reconciliation, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive timely resolution
• Lead stakeholder engagement and communication plans for assigned projects, including senior client stakeholders and internal leadership
• Mentor and manage Associate Project Managers and Project Managers by setting clear performance expectations, providing coaching, and balancing workload priorities
• Identify financial risks including work at risk, margin erosion, or forecast gaps, and escalate with mitigation recommendations
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying gaps, risks, or inefficiencies and partnering with stakeholders to implement practical solutions

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Strong proven experience in medical imaging and/or clinical development within the life sciences industry
• Track record of leading medium to high complexity, client-facing studies or programs
• Significant experience communicating complex project status, risks, financials, and decisions to internal and external stakeholders, including senior audiences
• Bachelor's degree in biological science, health science, technology, or equivalent education with relevant experience
• Fluent English communication skills
• High proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project-related systems
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to anticipate issues, assess risks, and implement solutions
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining accuracy, quality, and momentum
• Experience leading through change and maintaining delivery performance during shifting conditions

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience mentoring and leading others in a project management capacity

Pay

The annual base salary range for this role is $96,000 - $138,000, depending on experience, skills, and market factors.
