Reimbursement Specialist

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare services organization in Canada that requires a dedicated Reimbursement Specialist to join their patient support team. This is a full-time position supporting pharmaceutical commercialization and patient access programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate benefits-related documentation, case updates, and follow-up activities to advance reimbursement case progression
• Resolve routine reimbursement issues, documentation gaps, and workflow exceptions to reduce delays in patient access
• Maintain accurate case records, reimbursement documentation, and system updates for operational visibility and reporting
• Monitor reimbursement trends, recurring issues, and escalation indicators to support proactive resolution
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including healthcare professionals, pharmacists, patient families, and insurance providers
• Provide product-related training sessions and coordinate testing or administration when applicable
• Manage inquiries related to clinical product coverage, client-specified procedures, and related services
• Contribute to process improvements and workflow updates that strengthen reimbursement support operations
• May be required to participate in on-call availability as part of this role

What We're Looking For

• Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in an office setting
• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industries is an asset
• General knowledge of reimbursement processes, patient assistance programs, and database functionality preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet consistent deadlines
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Bilingualism in French and English is required (daily contact with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients, and cross-functional peers)
• Clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge is highly valued
