Principal Product Manager

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Principal Product Manager to own the strategy for AI-powered image editing tools within a rapidly growing desktop application. This role sits at the intersection of AI innovation, user research, and product-led growth, driving value for knowledge workers, students, and creative professionals across the United States.

You'll define how AI-first workflows integrate into desktop imaging experiences, conducting deep user research to uncover monetizable opportunities and building frameworks that balance user impact, technical feasibility, and business potential in a fast-moving landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own an AI-first integration strategy rooted in user jobs-to-be-done (JTBDs) and pain points across imaging, viewing, editing, and design workflows
• Leverage AI tools and direct user research to identify unmet needs and opportunities to delight users in their desktop workflows
• Build evaluation frameworks for feature integration opportunities, assessing user impact, technical feasibility, and monetization potential
• Identify premium opportunities with supporting willingness-to-pay analysis
• Present strategy, roadmap, prioritization, timelines, and monetization recommendations to product and executive stakeholders
• Conduct frequent user interviews and testing to understand both articulated and unspoken customer needs
• Mentor team members and iterate on product management processes
• Run product-led growth experiments with a focus on rapid learning and optimization
• Drive multiple initiatives simultaneously with proactive executive and partner communication

What We're Looking For

• 3–5+ years of product management experience, preferably with design-focused mobile and web applications
• Proven ability to collaborate across products, customers, partners, and cross-functional teams; background in design or design systems is a plus
• Insatiable curiosity for solving complex, system-based user problems with strong opinions on market direction
• Product-led growth mindset with a track record of running experiments and learning fast to optimize experiences
• Resourcefulness and imagination to translate creative thought into practical action
• Persuasive, upbeat, collaborative style that rallies teams to deliver outstanding user solutions
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives with clear executive communication
• Strong analytical abilities to synthesize information from diverse sources and present impact to senior leaders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive and peer audiences
• MBA or equivalent experience preferred
