Computational Linguist / Language Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential conversational AI organization that is transforming customer interactions in the quick-service restaurant sector globally. Our talent team is seeking a Computational Linguist / Language Engineer to join their software development team in Greece. In this role, you will work on production-grade voice and chat AI systems, gaining deep technical exposure to the full stack of technologies that power natural human-system conversations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and testing of production-grade conversational AI systems
• Work directly with customers to analyze and understand business requirements
• Design applications aligned with established usability principles and business needs
• Implement and test semantic models and conversation flows using both machine learning and rule-based techniques
• Analyze real-life human-system dialogs to assess system performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Engage in QA activities including regression testing and end-to-end testing
• Consume and integrate external systems such as web services

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Academic degree in Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Excellent command of English and Spanish
• Experience with dialog systems, either voice or chat-based
• Ability to work with and analyze data to draw insights
• Knowledge of Java, Python, SQL, and/or bash scripting
• Familiarity with GitLab and Jira
• Junior-level programming knowledge is a strong asset

Preferred Experience:

• Production-level NLU/NLP or agentic AI solutions
• Experience consuming web services and external systems
