Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential consulting organization seeking a Cybersecurity & Risk Management Consultant to join their team in München. In this role, you will:
- Advise clients on the development and enhancement of their cybersecurity, risk, and compliance frameworks, helping embed security and governance requirements throughout their organizations
- Support clients in implementing European regulatory requirements including NIS2, DORA, eIDAS 2.0, and similar regulations, integrating them into existing processes and organizational structures
- Analyze IT, security, and governance structures, assess cyber and IT risks, and develop actionable recommendations and implementation roadmaps
- Design governance, risk, and control frameworks and develop concepts for specialized topics such as Identity & Access Management (IAM) and vulnerability management
- Plan, manage, and coordinate work packages within IT and cybersecurity projects, collaborating with business units, IT teams, information security, and compliance functions
- Structure and conduct assessments, facilitate decision-making through workshops and interviews, and help clients prioritize security measures
- Prepare analysis results, management documents, and presentations for various stakeholders, communicating complex technical concepts clearly
- Monitor technological, regulatory, and market developments in cybersecurity and contribute innovative ideas to client engagements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with strong academic performance in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or comparable field
- Relevant professional experience through internships or working student positions, ideally in consulting or strategy-focused environments
- Practical experience or demonstrated interest in cybersecurity, digital identities, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and regulatory compliance; exposure to Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), vulnerability management, or digital identities is a plus
- Experience working on projects with a fundamental understanding of project management, oversight, and stakeholder collaboration
- Strong technical foundation with comfort working at the intersection of technology, business, and management
- Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences and leverage modern technologies to facilitate workshops and present findings compellingly
- Initiative, eagerness to learn, strong team spirit, and customer focus; commitment to delivering sustainable results
- Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements
- Very good German and English language skills (at least C1 level in both languages)
