Working Student Market Intelligence (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential energy technology client in their search for a Working Student to support market intelligence and commercial expansion efforts. This role offers exposure to European energy markets and the opportunity to build frameworks that directly inform strategic decisions.

You will work closely with international expansion and commercial teams, creating structure around market trends, competitive intelligence, and regulatory developments across multiple countries.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a scalable market intelligence framework covering relevant European markets
• Conduct regular scouting of market developments, trends, and regulatory changes across target countries
• Perform deep-dive research into country-specific regulations and market drivers
• Monitor the competitive landscape including relevant players, initiatives, partnerships, and industry news
• Consolidate internal knowledge from sales, customer success, and product teams
• Maintain and continuously improve internal databases supporting market intelligence (ensuring structure, completeness, and consistency)
• Contribute to process automation and incorporate additional data sources where feasible
• Deliver structured research outputs including market snapshots, briefs, and decision-support summaries
• Maintain clear documentation of research processes and findings

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in business, economics, industrial engineering, data/analytics, political science, or comparable field
• Strong interest in markets, regulation, and commercial strategy combined with a data-driven mindset
• Organised and structured working style with ability to balance attention to detail with pragmatic, high-level assumptions
• Familiarity and confidence using AI tools and automation approaches to improve research and documentation workflows
• Fluent English communication skills required
• German and/or additional European languages are a plus
• Eligible to work in Germany as a student

Location and Work Arrangement

This position is based in Cologne with flexible remote work options within Germany. The client offers hybrid working arrangements.
