Director Service Optimization

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking a Director of Service Optimization to lead strategic initiatives across revenue cycle and customer experience functions. This remote role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to drive meaningful operational improvements across a complex, multi-site healthcare environment.

This position partners directly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to optimize service delivery through process innovation, technology implementation, and data-driven decision-making. You'll lead a team of consultants, analysts, and technical specialists while serving as the bridge between business operations and technology partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts, consultants, data analysts, and technology specialists
• Drive service optimization initiatives through process improvement, automation, and workflow streamlining to reduce costs and eliminate waste
• Own the vision and execution of a complex operational roadmap for technology features and enhancements
• Serve as strategic liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment on platform builds, data governance, and system integrations
• Oversee data flow and integration across CRM systems, electronic health records, scheduling platforms, and financial systems
• Establish and enforce standards, policies, and procedures for application use and process documentation
• Prepare business cases and proposals for new technologies and process improvements
• Collaborate with IT, HR, Finance, and Operations leaders to align technology deployment with service goals
• Participate in high-priority strategic initiatives and cross-functional work groups with director-level and VP-level stakeholders
• Design and implement scorecards and dashboard metrics to monitor progress and outcomes

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related field
• 7-10 years of experience in customer service or operations technology
• Strong experience managing technical products and working with databases, CRM systems, email/text automation, or electronic health record platforms
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Comfort with public speaking and presenting to large groups
• Proven ability to develop clear, actionable vision and provide results-oriented strategic leadership
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage conflict and balance competing priorities across multiple stakeholders

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Advanced analytics capabilities using SQL or other query languages
• Experience managing large datasets in Business Objects, Teradata, Tableau, or similar platforms
• Platform certifications (such as Salesforce) highly desired
• Process certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, Scrum, or Agile methodologies
