Our talent team is representing a confidential consulting organization in Paris that works on high-impact artificial intelligence and machine learning projects across finance, industry, and technology sectors. We are seeking an AI Engineer specializing in AI-assisted code generation and intelligent agents to join their practice.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and optimize AI coding assistants: Integrate and configure market-leading AI development tools within client environments; define strategies for code generation, AI-assisted test-driven development, and automated documentation; guide development teams through pair-programming with AI and establish secure adoption practices
• Engineer intelligent code agents: Design and develop autonomous agents that analyze, generate, and transform code for specific business use cases; implement agentic pipelines for large-scale refactoring including technical debt detection, architecture recommendations, legacy system modernization, and framework migration; build custom solutions when market tools reach their limitations
• Industrialize AI code solutions: Manage the lifecycle of AI-powered coding tools including prompt versioning, data flow security, and usage governance; establish observability mechanisms to evaluate quality, reliability, and relevance of generated code; integrate solutions into production environments with strong security and scalability requirements
• Provide technical leadership: Maintain active awareness of emerging AI code tools, models, and development practices; support client teams in identifying and prioritizing high-value use cases; contribute to standards, methodologies, and knowledge sharing within the AI practice

What We're Looking For

• Education (required): Master's degree (Bac+5) from a Grande École d'Ingénieur or university Master's in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Artificial Intelligence
• Software engineering foundation: Solid development experience in Python, TypeScript, and/or strongly-typed languages like Java or C#; mastery of Clean Code principles, SOLID design, and software architecture
• AI4Code expertise: Deep understanding of current LLMs (GPT-4o, Claude 3.5, etc.) including their reasoning capabilities, limitations, and hallucination risks; demonstrated ability to maximize value from AI coding tools
• Technical communication: Ability to analyze technical environments, design clear AI integration strategies, and communicate concepts effectively to both technical and business stakeholders
• Passion for software craftsmanship: Engineers who care as much about code robustness as model performance
