Senior Product Manager II, Consumer (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential consumer-technology organization seeking a Senior Product Manager II to lead personalization experience initiatives. In this high-autonomy role, you will own the product strategy that transforms customer data into trusted, intelligent experiences at massive scale.

You will define and drive the food profile collection systems that power downstream personalization engines, ensuring customers provide high-signal, actionable preference data. You'll build the transparency layers that help users understand why specific recommendations appear, creating trust infrastructure for the entire personalization stack.

Working across organizational boundaries, you'll maintain clean API contracts and data payloads that serve multiple downstream consumers. You'll leverage AI-native discovery methods to compress decision cycles, synthesizing global customer signals and stress-testing hypotheses faster than traditional PM workflows allow.

This role requires managing long-horizon strategy with genuine autonomy—running a flywheel where better profile data drives better models, which enable more visible personalization, generating more signal back into the system. You'll own the roadmap 12–18 months out, making the strategic calls that shape team direction.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of product management experience, with significant time on user-facing personalization or data collection products where UX directly feeds data pipelines
• Strong consumer product craft: proven ability to build experiences at scale (millions of users) that are compelling, trustworthy, and sticky—you know the difference between functional and trust-earning
• Data-native skills: proficiency in SQL/Python to query your own data, define input/output KPIs, and hold your own in technical deep-dives without analyst translation
• Cross-organizational experience: demonstrated success shipping products across organizational boundaries, aligning on shared metrics and maintaining clean engineering contracts without direct authority
• Experimentation expertise: strong ability to design hypothesis-validating experiments, interpret results with healthy skepticism, and make hard data-driven decisions to kill features
• Exceptional communication: ability to make complex algorithmic concepts legible to non-technical stakeholders and write specs engineers can ship from directly
• AI-assisted workflow integration: active use of GenAI tools to increase discovery speed, insight depth, and output quality in daily practice
• Location: Berlin-based; hybrid working model available
