Enterprise Field Engineer – Pre-sales – SouthEast (Atlanta)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a well-funded AI-powered developer tools organization in their search for an Enterprise Field Engineer - Pre-sales based in the Southeast region (Atlanta area). This is a remote opportunity with a fast-growing company that serves thousands of engineering teams worldwide.

In this role, you'll serve as a technical advisor during the pre-sales journey, partnering with sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams to demonstrate value and solve complex technical challenges. This position is ideal for someone who is technically curious, passionate about AI-driven development platforms, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Account Executives to understand customer requirements and develop customized technical solutions
• Translate business objectives into technical requirements and solution designs
• Drive compelling demos and impactful Proof of Values (PoVs) to showcase platform capabilities
• Assist in responding to security questionnaires and technical evaluations
• Provide feedback and collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to address customer issues and improve product experience
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in AI-powered development tools
• Contribute to improvement of internal tools, playbooks, guides, and best practices documentation
• Support smooth transitions from pre-sales to post-sales for customer onboarding

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role
• 2+ years in a dynamic, fast-paced, startup-like environment
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to business leaders
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer needs simultaneously
• Strong experience with software development tools and platforms
• Comfortable working with command line interfaces
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of ownership, self-motivation, and eagerness to acquire new skills
• Willingness to uplevel peers' knowledge through mentorship, training, and shadowing

Bonus:

• Experience with container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure as code experience (e.g., Terraform)
• CI/CD tools experience (e.g., GitHub Actions)
