Senior Data Scientist – Care AI

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential ecommerce technology client seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their AI-focused engineering group in Paris. This role centers on building production-scale AI solutions that enhance customer support operations through intelligent automation, sentiment analysis, and resolution optimization.

You'll be part of a cross-functional team combining data science and software engineering expertise, working at the intersection of machine learning operations and generative AI applications. This is a hands-on role where you'll own problems from definition through production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and own AI opportunities end-to-end, from problem scoping through production rollout, collaborating with product and engineering stakeholders to deliver solutions that address real business needs
• Build, deploy, and operate machine learning models and GenAI applications at scale, including integration and optimization of large language models in production environments
• Drive technical implementation of AI-powered customer support features focused on efficiency improvements, sentiment detection, and resolution speed
• Establish and promote AI best practices across the organization, building internal community awareness of AI capabilities
• Present technical work regularly to diverse audiences including engineering teams, product stakeholders, and business leadership through demos and internal conferences

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of industry experience in data science or related fields
• Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Sciences, or Engineering
• Demonstrated track record leading impactful data science initiatives that solve business problems, with experience mentoring scientists and engineers
• Deep expertise in the ML lifecycle, algorithms, and best practices, plus hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and Generative AI APIs
• Strong ability to design end-to-end AI and data architectures that integrate with product systems, data platforms, and engineering infrastructure
• Solid Python programming skills and software engineering fundamentals including testing, code review, and deployment practices
• Proficiency with AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows (experience with tools like Claude Code is valued)
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Fluency in English and French preferred for this Paris-based role
