Data Center IT Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization seeking a Data Center IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their technical operations team in Béthune, Pas-de-Calais. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert working at the intersection of hardware operations and advanced troubleshooting.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Solving challenging firmware and hardware-related issues with servers, requiring in-depth knowledge of system architecture and advanced troubleshooting techniques
• Executing workarounds and solutions for IT hardware issues in a data center environment
• Acting as subject matter expert and point of escalation for L1 and L2 technicians
• Creating new processes and documentation for the IT hardware team
• Collaborating with vendors on warranty replacements (RMA), creating requests and managing the process end-to-end
• Improving support processes, documentation, and training materials
• Working with related departments to enhance operational efficiency

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Knowledge of data centers and server equipment
• Deep knowledge of IT hardware with practical hands-on troubleshooting experience
• Strong skills working with Unix/Linux operating systems and command line
• Experience with equipment monitoring, data analysis, and presentation
• Proactive approach and strong sense of responsibility
• High proficiency in spoken and written English

Bonus qualifications:

• Skills in repairing electronics at the component level (SMD)
• Knowledge of network equipment and troubleshooting
• Driving license type B
