About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization in their search for a Kubernetes & OpenShift Engineer to join their growing platform team. This is a 100% remote, full-time W2 position open to candidates across the United States.
Our client operates enterprise-grade container platforms that support mission-critical workloads across hybrid cloud environments. You'll own the complete platform lifecycle—from provisioning and hardening clusters to enabling development teams and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate Red Hat OpenShift container platforms across on-premises and cloud environments
- Manage end-to-end cluster lifecycle including provisioning, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning
- Implement platform hardening and security controls aligned with compliance requirements
- Onboard application workloads and provide developer enablement and support
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Tekton, Jenkins, or Argo CD
- Configure monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions for platform observability
- Collaborate with application teams, security engineers, and infrastructure stakeholders
- Automate infrastructure and platform operations using infrastructure-as-code
- Troubleshoot complex platform and workload issues across the stack
- Document platform architecture, procedures, and runbooks
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 6+ years of experience operating container platforms in production environments
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift internals: operators, CRDs, RBAC, networking
- Strong Linux administration skills including networking, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools: Ansible, Terraform, or Helm
- Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines on container platforms
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go
- Working knowledge of monitoring, logging, and tracing tools for Kubernetes environments
- Understanding of container image security and supply chain hardening
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation abilities
Preferred:
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or Architect-level certification
- Experience running OpenShift on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, or OpenShift Service Mesh)
- Experience in regulated environments (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2)
- Hands-on experience with GitOps workflows using Argo CD or Flux

Pay
Pay via Get A Job.ai: $135,000–$155,000 annually
