About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential web hosting organization that operates large-scale infrastructure serving customers globally. Our talent team is seeking a Software Engineer to join an agile development environment focused on full-stack solutions with backend and front-end components.
This is a remote position requiring 4+ years of software development experience and a passion for building scalable, reliable systems.
Responsibilities
- Full-stack development with ownership across the technology stack, including strong front-end development
- Solving large-scale backend technical challenges in a high-availability environment
- Designing and developing backend software and APIs
- Contributing to continuous improvement of development practices and processes
- Identifying opportunities to innovate and optimize systems
- Collaborating with product and business stakeholders to understand customer needs
- Providing operational support for escalated technical issues
- Working within a self-organizing, autonomous team environment
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Minimum 4+ years of software development experience
- Minimum 2 years supporting large-scale applications in an operational capacity
- Strong experience with object-oriented programming (Ruby preferred)
- Front-end development skills using React, Angular, or Vue
- Software development experience in Linux/Unix environments
- Experience with containerization platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Proficiency with Agile development practices including automated testing, continuous integration, and refactoring
- Strong communication skills and self-motivation
- Commitment to continuous learning
Preferred:
- BSc in Computer Science or related field
- Security-focused development approach
- Experience with Rancher, Docker Swarm, or similar orchestration platforms
- Database design and performance tuning expertise (MySQL, Redis, etc.)
- DevOps experience on Linux-based platforms
- System administration background on Linux platforms
