Head of Product Marketing (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a fast-growing direct-to-consumer brand in Hamburg that is building out its product marketing function. This role sits at the intersection of product development and performance marketing, translating customer insights into launch strategies and product briefs.

You will:

• Plan and execute product launches end-to-end, coordinating timing, positioning, and alignment across performance marketing, creative, CRM, and e-commerce teams
• Build and own the customer insights function: design and run a customer panel, conduct qualitative interviews, and systematically analyze community feedback and ad comments
• Translate insights into product briefs covering fit, comfort, customer needs, and next model ideas—feeding directly into product development and founder strategy discussions
• Develop messaging hypotheses and creative angles for each product, briefing the creative team and incorporating campaign test results back into your insight loop
• Define the core positioning for each product: what problem it solves, for whom, and why now
• Determine product USPs that resonate in social media and serve specific niches effectively
• Analyze customer feedback systematically (surveys, reviews, return reasons) and channel findings to product and campaign teams
• Design and model offers and bundles based on contribution margin, not just conversion
• Write clear positioning statements, briefs, and landing page copy yourself

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in product marketing, brand management, or growth—ideally at a D2C brand or in e-commerce
• Track record of owning product launches with measurable results you can speak to
• Strong writing skills: you craft positioning, briefings, and copy clearly and without jargon
• Comfort working with metrics like conversion, contribution margin, and sell-through
• Understanding of performance creative and what makes an effective hook
• Fluent German and good English
• Based in or willing to relocate to Hamburg
