Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential enterprise software organization in their search for a Software Architect to join a remote team rebuilding a cloud-based platform with AI-native principles at its core.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the architecture and carry out design, AI-assisted implementation, and validation in cloud-based, multi-threaded, multi-server environments
  • Lead technical decisions on architectural direction using a collaborative, team-based approach
  • Ensure the architecture addresses security, scalability, compatibility, maintainability, and the responsible use of AI in both build-time and run-time contexts
  • Perform testing of your work, fix defects, and assist with customer support case resolution
  • Ensure the team adheres to architectural direction and standards
  • Mentor and coach team members in architecture practices, AI-assisted delivery techniques, and the discipline of validating AI-generated outputs
  • Liaise with Product Management during planning sessions

What We're Looking For

Our client needs an architect who already integrates AI tooling into daily work—not experimentally, but as a core part of how they design, build, and validate software. They seek someone with clear judgment about where AI belongs in high-trust systems and where it does not.

Required skills and experience:

  • Solid experience developing applications in C# using Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code
  • Proven track record of breaking down complex requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient system designs
  • Experience with multi-tenant cloud solutions
  • Experience working in collaborative multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience creating maintainable code and using source control solutions such as DevOps, GIT, or similar
  • Experience with unit testing, code reviews, and other product quality disciplines
  • Solid understanding of network security, authentication, and authorization principles
  • Experience working with databases using Entity Framework or similar
  • Good knowledge of SOLID principles
  • Experience creating RESTful APIs and ensuring API extensibility
  • Recent practical experience using AI tooling (Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent) in daily work—you should be comfortable describing what worked, what did not, and what you decided
  • Output discipline: you remain accountable for the architecture you produce, regardless of the tools that assisted you
  • Comfort with probabilistic systems and clear judgment about when to use AI in high-trust domains
  • Learning velocity: able to ramp on a new AI tool or technique in days, not months

Preferred qualifications:

  • Security best practices (OWASP top ten)
  • Azure SQL Server
  • DevOps, Pipelines, TeamCity, GitHub
  • Windows services
  • Experience using AI tooling specifically in architect-level tasks such as design review, architecture decision records drafting, threat modeling, or contract design
  • Familiarity with AI-native software patterns including agentic workflows, evaluation harnesses, prompt-and-response evaluation, or evidence packets

Core competencies:

  • Effective communication across email, instant message, phone, and video conferencing
  • Fierce pursuit of product quality
  • Excellent problem-solving with active interest in the latest design and development tools
  • Knowledge of and enthusiasm for process
  • Ability to recognize opportunities for optimization based on evolutions in AI
