Senior Oracle Data Engineer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential public-sector technology organization seeking a Senior Oracle Data Engineer to take technical ownership of demanding database solutions. In this role, you will design and deliver high-performance, secure applications built on Oracle technologies while coordinating development teams and maintaining clear communication with project leadership and end users.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Developing and advancing database solutions using Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Designing and implementing integration processes with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Taking technical ownership of project requirements and domain-specific topics
• Supporting and coordinating the developer team
• Quickly learning new technologies and addressing emerging technical challenges
• Using Jira and Confluence for planning, documentation, and tracking development work
• Working with Git and common development tools such as Visual Studio Code
• Facilitating discussions and communicating technical content to diverse audiences
• Confidently representing technical perspectives in meetings with project leadership and stakeholders

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Strong expertise in Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Foundational knowledge of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Proficiency with Git and development environments like Visual Studio Code
• Demonstrated ability to take technical ownership and lead initiatives
• Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to translate technical concepts for different audiences
• Confident presence in stakeholder discussions and project meetings
• Excellent German language skills (C1 level) and good English proficiency

Nice to have:

• Data Vault data modeling experience
• Containerization with Podman
• Oracle Analytics Server
• Oracle APEX
