Director – Molecular Science Liaison

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential precision medicine organization in their search for a Director - Molecular Science Liaison. Our client is at the forefront of transforming patient care through molecular science and advanced diagnostics. This is a unique opportunity to lead a national team of scientific liaisons who bridge cutting-edge research with clinical practice in oncology.

This role is based in the United States with regular travel required. You will establish and manage a team of Molecular Science Liaisons who engage directly with physicians, researchers, and key opinion leaders to communicate the clinical value of molecular intelligence platforms.

Responsibilities

As Director, you will oversee all aspects of the MSL team, including:

• Day-to-day management and leadership of the Molecular Science Liaison team across the United States
• Developing and executing national staffing plans and organizational structure recommendations
• Creating comprehensive training and enablement programs to ensure MSLs maintain current knowledge of molecular technologies and clinical applications
• Tracking team activity, customer interactions, and ensuring quality engagement metrics
• Ensuring your team successfully presents clinical data and educational materials to physician sites and conferences
• Supporting commercial and alliance teams in relationship development meetings and presentations
• Overseeing MSL participation in molecular tumor board meetings nationwide
• Managing the speaker bureau program, including field training for contracted speakers
• Coordinating regional and national speaking engagements (roundtables, grand rounds, tumor boards)
• Providing commercial input on marketing materials to reflect current molecular landscape
• Acting as liaison between the medical community and internal teams regarding product feedback and market needs

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Ph.D. or M.D. in biological sciences related to pharmacology, cancer biology, molecular biology, cellular biology, or equivalent training
• 3+ years of management experience leading scientific or medical affairs teams
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with KOLs and internal stakeholders
• Demonstrated commitment, self-motivation, and results-driven approach
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred qualifications:

• Prior experience in a commercial environment such as pharmaceuticals or diagnostics laboratory space
• Field experience working directly with customers and sales organizations
• Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to business challenges
• Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with competing priorities
• Track record of exceeding customer service and quality expectations

Pay

The annual hiring range for this position is $200,000 - $220,000. Actual compensation will be based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
