About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology services organization in their search for a senior Appian Developer to join their team. This remote position will support a federal program portfolio focused on regulatory review workflows and business process automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain complex business process management applications on the Appian low-code platform
• Administer Appian Cloud environments, including configuration, deployment management, and platform optimization
• Deliver operations and maintenance support, bug fixes, and enhancements for an active portfolio of approximately 26 production workflows
• Configure workflow processes, forms, records, and interfaces supporting regulatory review, content management, and search capabilities
• Integrate Appian workflows with external APIs, content management systems, forms platforms, and messaging services
• Lead and mentor less experienced developers, providing technical direction and code review on development standards
• Implement AI and large language model capabilities within workflows to automate document processing and data extraction
• Support release planning, testing, Section 508 accessibility remediation, and release package preparation

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or related technical field (or 4+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
• 8+ years of application development experience, including 5+ years of hands-on Appian development
• Current Appian Certified Lead Developer credential (or Appian Certified Senior Developer)
• Demonstrated Appian Cloud platform administration experience, including environment administration, deployment, and configuration management
• Proven experience maintaining and enhancing production Appian portfolios in an operations and maintenance context
• Experience integrating Appian with external systems through APIs and web services
• Track record providing technical leadership and mentorship to other Appian developers
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk (Tier 2) Public Trust background investigation and government PIV credential
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Highly Desired Skills:

• Experience with Appian 25.x on Appian Cloud platform-as-a-service
• Integration experience with Documentum, Adobe Experience Manager, Apache Kafka, or Apache Solr
• Experience embedding AI or large language model services into Appian process automation
• Federal regulatory, licensing, or submission review workflow experience

Pay

The client's posted range for this position is $102,495 to $128,119 annually. Get A Job.ai receives a placement fee from the employer; your compensation comes directly from the client according to their standard pay structure.
