Payments Account Executive

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare software organization in their search for a Payments Account Executive. This is a specialized SaaS sales role focused on driving adoption of payments solutions within an established client base. You'll work with small to mid-market accounts, helping them optimize revenue and reduce processing costs through integrated payment technology.

Location: United States (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth by selling payments solutions to existing clients and identifying expansion opportunities within current accounts
• Generate and nurture leads through prospecting, networking, and referrals to build a robust pipeline
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand client payment processing challenges and business needs
• Analyze merchant statements to identify hidden fees, inflated rates, and cost-saving opportunities
• Demonstrate expertise in various pricing structures including interchange plus and tiered pricing models
• Present compelling value propositions that highlight revenue optimization and competitive rate advantages
• Collaborate with sales, support, onboarding, product, and customer success teams to ensure smooth implementations
• Consistently meet and exceed sales quotas and KPIs
• Maintain accurate CRM documentation and manage the sales process with precision in Salesforce

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 3-5+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding targets in consultative selling environments
• 2+ years of SaaS sales experience, preferably with SMB or mid-market accounts
• 2+ years of direct payments or fintech industry experience with deep knowledge of payment processing, merchant accounts, and fee structures
• Demonstrated ability to analyze merchant statements and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Experience in solution selling with ability to position products as strategic business tools
• Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce strongly preferred) and sales enablement tools
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in sales, business, or related field
