Associate Director, Customer Engagement Communications

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential pharmaceutical organization seeking an Associate Director, Customer Engagement Communications to support strategic communications for their US field sales organization. This fully remote role plays a critical part in translating business strategy and leadership vision into clear, compelling communications that drive engagement and clarity across a geographically dispersed team.

Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional partners, you'll help develop integrated communications strategies, craft executive-level content, and support transformation initiatives that enable the organization to achieve its customer engagement priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Build integrated communications strategies aligned to customer engagement priorities, grounded in pharmaceutical field dynamics and evolving healthcare trends
• Shape change and transformation narratives that communicate priorities, decisions, and progress to key stakeholders
• Partner with transformation teams to support communications that drive clarity and adoption of new initiatives
• Develop executive communications content including talking points, executive briefs, and presentations for business milestones
• Create associate communications that keep field and headquarters teams informed, engaged, and aligned
• Support communications for large organizational meetings including town halls, leadership meetings, and all-field forums
• Lead development of written and visual content for internal channels, including articles, videos, and digital assets
• Manage channels and content calendars to ensure efficiency and alignment
• Monitor engagement metrics and feedback to continuously improve communications effectiveness

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university, preferably in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field
• 6+ years of progressive experience in internal communications, executive communications, corporate communications, or related roles
• Demonstrated experience supporting senior leaders with executive-level communications
• Proven experience in change and transformation communications
• Experience working in matrixed organizations and collaborating across functions
• Pharmaceutical industry experience required
• Ability to leverage AI tools strategically to optimize communications output

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in pharmaceutical field communications
• Ability to support large, geographically dispersed teams
• Familiarity with digital communication platforms and internal communications tools

Additional Details:

• Location: Remote anywhere in the United States
• Travel: Approximately 10% (domestic and/or international)
