Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences – Berlin, Germany

Responsibilities

We are representing a fast-growing audio technology company seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Core Experiences Team in Berlin. In this role, you will build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that power product experiences across multiple platforms.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with product teams to scope projects, reduce complexity for faster customer feedback, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDKs
• Optimizing existing functionality to improve performance through efficient abstractions and enhanced algorithms
• Shipping cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
• Working at the intersection of product and infrastructure to design clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance user experience

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking a senior-level engineer with strong systems thinking and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment. The ideal candidate will have:

• Systems thinking approach with focus on end-to-end design and simplicity
• Ability to work quickly, generate ideas, and make sound decisions about shipping priorities
• Strong focus and time management skills to balance collaboration with heads-down work
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with designers, marketers, and product managers
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable, but the role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform)
• Prior experience with GCP is a plus
