We are representing a fast-growing technology company in the audio information space, and we're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Core Experiences Team in Cologne, Germany. This is an excellent opportunity to work on foundational services and SDKs that power a product used by millions of users worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce complexity for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs across different platforms
- Deliver solutions via cross-platform SDKs that enhance the user experience
- Optimize existing functionality to improve loading speed and parsing intelligence through more efficient abstractions and improved algorithms
- Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
- Design clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that directly impact product quality
What We're Looking For
- Systems thinking: You understand that optimizing a system requires end-to-end design and you value simplicity
- Speed: You work quickly to generate ideas and options, and you know how to decide what can ship now versus what needs more time
- Focus: Ability to thrive in a high-growth, remote startup environment and know when to engage or work heads down
- Collaboration: You can effectively work with opinionated designers, marketers, and product managers
- Strong experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is acceptable but the role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform)
- Prior experience with GCP is a plus
- Senior-level experience building and maintaining foundational services and SDKs
